Fairview Real Estate Market

Located about 12 miles to the west of downtown Portland, the main real estate market of Fairview has nearly 9,000 residents living in Multnomah County. One area of the city, Fairview Village, facilitates small-town living that fosters a sense of community and closeness among its residents living here. This mixed-use neighborhood is comprised of 600 single family residential units, 10 acres of commercial and residential spaces and 100,000 square feet of office space. Spanning 95 acres, Fairview Village is nestled beside the Old Town residential neighborhood within Fairview. A highly-walkable community, Fairview Village is a community built and maintained by its members who seek to embrace a more relaxed and community-based existence while living within the beautiful Northwest.

The Portland, Oregon area continues to be a popular place for potential homeowners to purchase real estate. With both the beach and the mountains easily within a day's drive away, the area has been one of the most popular areas for buyers to move to in recent years. As a result of this, according to CNN, housing market prices have been soaring.

Fairview, however, still offers a range of listing prices for anyone's budget. For example, a two bedroom, one bath condo with 960 square feet of living space can be purchased for under $150,000. Those who want to buy a house with more space can find a five bedroom, two-and-one-half bath property with nearly 4,000 square feet of living space for under $675,000. Of course, there is a range of other homes for sale and real estate options that offer floor plans and square footages in between these two examples for potential home buyers who need them.

Fairview Community Amenities

The city of Fairview fosters a welcoming sense of community that provides numerous amenities for its residents living here and their visitors alike. One of the most popular -- and unique -- is Blue Lake Regional Park.

Blue Lake Regional Park, located at 21224 NE Blue Lake Road, is open year-round from 8 AM until legal sunset. Canoes, rowboats and paddle boats can typically be rented daily from noon until 7 PM from Memorial Day until Labor Day for those who wish to tour the waterways. Park visitors can also fish from the dock, which is universally accessible, picnic beside the lake, and play sports like soccer, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, and softball. Though the lake doesn't allow children under the age of five to use it -- for cleanliness reasons -- the colorful spray ground offers action-packed fun for all ages.
